We are keen to meet our colleagues in primary care. We hold regular education meetings at Spire Southampton Hospital.
We are also happy to come to your practices to talk about any cardiology or arrhythmia subjects that you feel would be of value. This could be in the evening or for a lunchtime meeting.
Subjects that we have previously been asked to talk on are:
The management of atrial fibrillation. Who should be anticoagulated? How to manage the patient with palpitations? What to do with syncope? Who to refer to a cardiologist. Who to refer to an electrophysiologist. How to manage the patient with a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)?
This is, of course, a complementary service and gives us an opportunity to meet those we haven't previously and to put some faces to names.

Heart Rhythm Clinic have developed a basic guide for practical ECG interpretation in primary care. It is not intended to be comprehensive but an aide memoire when confronted with a difficult ECG. We are also launching our complementary ECG reporting service. Details of this service are included in the guide. You can download the document by clicking HERE.
We intend to continually update this document and would welcome any comments or suggested additions.
